I value art in any way possible, Prague-based and Rotterdam-bound — MSc Quantitative Finance at Erasmus from September 2026. Drawn to old paintings, careful prose, a quick eye for markets and questions that take a lifetime.
Read more →Servus, I'm Sebastian — with roots in the Czech-Austrian borderlands, now based in Prague, about to begin an MSc in Quantitative Finance at Erasmus University Rotterdam this autumn. I enjoy challenging myself by solving complex problems — primarily quantitative, but often creative as well.
Alongside my professional interests, I'm passionate about painting and reading, with a particular fascination for historical texts from the 16th to 20th centuries. I once dreamed of becoming a painter — but I chose economics as a discipline broad enough to satisfy my Renaissance instincts.
I'm often asked when I'll return to Germany. My answer is honest: there's still work to do on myself first.
I treat the quantitative side as my main professional path; history I keep close as a private pursuit, valued no less. I value excellence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to approach challenges with a fresh, innovative perspective. I admire leadership rooted in clarity and resilience — values I associate with Hansi Flick's philosophy.
Personal experiments — code, data, and the occasional cross between markets and art. Not all of them ready to share yet.
